The Rogue is Considered One of the World's Classic Rivers

|
The Rogue River rises in the Cascade Mountains near Crater Lake National Park and flows through the town of Rogue River, Grants Pass and on to reach the the Pacific Ocean at Gold Beach.
A section of the river below Grants Pass is designated as a national Wild and Scenic River. |
Crater Lake
has inspired people for hundreds of years. No place else on earth combines a deep, pure lake, so blue in color; sheer surrounding cliffs, almost two thousand feet high; a picturesque island; and a violent volcanic past. Few places on earth are so beautiful, or so interesting to scientists. Crater Lake National Park is an area of 249 square miles dedicated to the preservation of its natural resources.

The Mt. Ashland Ski Area is nestled in the magnificent Siskiyou Mountains, the alpine gateway to the Pacific Northwest. Mt. Ashland is conveniently located halfway between San Francisco and Portland; just 8 miles off Interstate 5. There is an annual snowfall of over 300 inches; plenty of snow for powder hounds and plenty of sun all winter long. The ski area has 23 trails in addition to chute skiing in a glacial cirque called the 'bowl'. The mountain, the people, and the quaint City of Ashland make a winning combination.

Oregon Caves National Monument

Three hiking trails access this forest. Below ground is a marble cave created by natural forces over hundreds of thousands of years in one of the world's most diverse geologic realms. |
